Her parents were Arnulfo VILLARREAL and Manuela TREVINO. Her grandparents were Agustin VILLARREAL and Francisca GUTIERREZ, and Miguel TREVINO and Petra FLORES.
Witnesses were Heriberto MURSA, married artisan and Brigido GUTIERREZ, single manufacturer.
Matilde’s baptism record may have been in a book that was later recorded as forgotten or lost by the parish priest. The lost book included records from May 20, 1911 to December 24, 1915. This notation is from a book of copies made in 1921.
Matilde immigrated from Mexico to the U.S. December 10, 1929 at the Laredo, Texas border with her mother Manuela TREVINO and her sisters Narcisa and Josefa, manifest card #3754.
She was 18 years old, and their destination was Corpus Christi, where Matilde had resided since 1926. She was 5 foot 6 inches, dark complexion, dark eyes and hair.

Matilde died October 27, 1993 in Boerne, Kendall County, Texas and is buried at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Texas.
